Back in October, I mentioned that if you sign up for Moe's eWorld, you will receive a coupon for a free cup of queso. It turns out they will also send you a coupon for a free entree for your birthday! I was very excited to find this coupon in my inbox; this is definitely an e-mail list that I recommend signing up for :)

Free pint of International Delight creamer

As many of you know, CVS has become one of my favorite stores lately! If you save your coupons from the Sunday paper and wait for the right Extrabucks offer, you can actually end up making money on some of your purchases and getting other things for free. Rather than attempting to explain this, I'm going to refer my readers to CVS 101 by The Thrifty Mama. Review: Fisher Price Space Saver High Chair

We registered for the Fisher Price Space Saver High Chair after a friend recommended it. We absolutely love this product! Living in an apartment, we don't have a lot of extra room so it is wonderful to just be able to place it on a regular table chair. We love that it reclines, so our daughter can use it even though she's not quite sitting up on her own yet. It has safety straps to keep baby in place, and it converts into a booster seat for older children. The price is around $55 at various retailers, which is much less than a regular high chair. All the features of a full sizer high chair in half the space and for half the price!

Free Beech Nut Starter Kit

If you have a little one, you can sign up for the Beech Nut eNewsletter and receive a FREE starter kit in the mail. I signed up for this a few weeks ago and it arrived this week, consisting of coupons for a free box of baby cereal and 2 free jars of baby food. They also include printable coupons in their monthly eNewsletters!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Somehow, no matter how many bananas we buy, we always end up with exactly 2 that are overripe. What am I supposed to do with 2 black bananas? All the good banana bread recipes call for more than that! Or so I thought :) A few years back, I came across a recipe for PB banana bread and over time I have tweaked it here and there until it morphed into the current version. I've been making this pretty much once a month for about 2 years now, and just recently I discovered that it actually freezes really well, too!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup peanut butter
2 mashed overripe bananas
1 tsp vanilla
1 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup chocolate chips (I suppose you could try walnuts instead if you prefer them)

*Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
*Grease a 5x9 loaf pan.
*In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, white sugar, and brown sugar. Add eggs; beat well. Mix in peanut butter, bananas, vanilla, flour, and baking soda. Once well blended, stir in chocolate chips (or walnuts).
*Pour into greased loaf pan and bake at 325 for 70 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
*Remove from pan and place on wire rack to cool.

After you have printed the coupon, hit your browser's back button and you will be able to print it again (limit 2 prints per computer). You probably cannot use both coupons in the same visit, but it doesn't expire until Christmas Eve so you've got time! Happy saving :)

$5 Target Gift Card

Head over to LilaGuide.com and write 10 parent product reviews to receive a $5 Target gift card! This doesn't take very much time, the reviews are quick. I figure if you spend 30 minutes doing this and earn $5, that's a pay rate of $10/hr! You will need to create an account, then click on the "Reviews" tab. Search for a product and when you have found a product you want to review, simply click "Write a review". You will be asked to give the product a star rating and write a few brief sentences about it. It's a simple way to help out other parents and make a few bucks :)

Slow survey month

I just wanted to post a little note of encouragement for those of you trying to make a little extra cash by completing surveys online. Don't get frustrated if you are not getting a lot of survey opportunities! November has a been a very slow month in the survey world. Personally, I have gotten very few survey invitations and of the ones I have gotten, I have qualified for less than half. However, having been taking surveys for several months now I know that this is just a slow month and it will pick up again. Some months are great, and others not so much. Just don't give up on surveys altogether :)

I signed up a few days ago and received my $5 off e-mail this morning, along with a coupon code for 10% of an online purchase.

Ebates

If you do a lot of your shopping online, you should check out Ebates. Whenever you want to purchase something online, access the shopping website through Ebates and you will earn cash back on your purchase. Recently I received 10% cash back when I made a large photo print purchase at Snapfish. Ebates also has information about any available coupon codes and free shipping offers for the 1000+ stores that they partner with. Sign up using the link on this blog and you will receive an extra $5 when you make your first cash back purchase. Cash back is paid out 4 times a year, with a minimum of $5 required to receive payment. If you have earned less than $5, it will simply roll over into the next quarter. Today I discovered A Giveaway Everyday! I clicked on the button featured on Moms by Heart, and this website is amazing - as stated in the name, they offer a new giveaway everyday. The giveaway that was posted today is for the Barbar 1900 Tourmaline Cordless Combo, which includes a tourmaline plate flat iron and curling iron. For most entries, you simply enter your name and answer a question (such as "What other Barbar product would you like to own?"). When the giveaway you entered closes, you check the winners board and see if you were the lucky winner. If the selected winner does not respond within 48 hours, a new winner is chosen. They have some really awesome giveaways, and I am very excited to have discovered this little gem!

Vocalpoint

Do you enjoy free samples? How about testing products? If either of these is true for you, then you should check out Vocalpoint. I have been a member of Vocalpoint for about a month now and I have already received two product samples to test, as well as mailers containing valuable coupons. Basically, you will receive emails asking if you would like to try and review a product, and you can choose whether or not to sign up and receive that particular product. Once you have received your sample, you try it out and then head back to Vocalpoint to give them your review. *free absolutely divine chocolate bar from CVS with coupon received in e-mail
*Neosporin Lip Health from CVS - price is $5.39, with $2.50 off using your extracare card and another $3 off using a printable coupon available earlier this month. I only had to pay 12 cents out of pocket to cover tax!

Opinion Outpost

When it comes to online survey companies, Opinion Outpost is by far my favorite. In just over a month, I have earned 277 points, which is equivalent to $27.70. I chose to redeem my points for Amazon gift codes, but Opinion Outpost will also send you a check if requested. I get a few surveys every week, with each survey being worth about 20 points, or $2.00. The surveys are easy and don't usually take more than 15 minutes. While no internet survey company is going to make you rich, Opinion Outpost is a great way to earn a little extra cash! Where to begin?

So, I've decided to try my hand at blogging so that I can share valuable information with my friends and family. I have read a lot of "Mommy blogs", but I have included links to my 4 favorites in the column to the right. Most of the deals I will mention I probably got from one of their blogs, and credit will be given to them. Having worked full time before my daughter was born, I never really got into using coupons or taking surveys online, or even looking for freebies. Now that I have discovered this world of money saving, it's like a game to see how much stuff I can get for little to no money. I hope that by condensing what I consider to be the best deals into one blog, I will be able to help my readers save money without having to spend a ton of time sifting through all the info that is floating around out there.
